Payment

The KF10X22 takes an MDB cashless card reader, an MDB note reader and an MDB coin mech. Cashless terminals such as Nayax, Cantaloupe or VendCoin from our Australian software partner Vending on Track are supported over the standard MDB interface, so you can keep an existing processor. Item-level reporting comes from the machine’s own telemetry, not from the payment terminal, so every order records which product was sold even on a card sale. See payment methods.

Access control and industrial options

For workplace issue, staff log in with an RFID card or PIN, and the machine checks their entitlement or quota before it releases the item. The space behind the screen takes HID card readers and other hardware. These options are specified per project:

• Per-cell weight sensing, optional and fitted at the factory per cell, to confirm each dispense. It cannot be retrofitted, so specify it at order. See weight sensor tracking.

Fitting it into the building

The KF10X22 is 1,310 mm wide, 820 mm deep and 1,975 mm tall. At 820 mm deep it will not pass an 815 mm (32-inch) clear door opening, the minimum in the 2010 ADA Standards, without a wider door or removing the door leaf. Check that the final position is wide enough for the cabinet plus room to open the door, and measure every door and lift on the route.

When the KF10X22 is the wrong choice

• The position is narrow. The KF6X10 is 616 mm wide.
• You do not need the large screen or extra internal space. The BG10X10 is 200 mm narrower, has a 10-inch sidecar touchscreen and starts from USD 1,200.

• There is no floor space. A compact wall-mount vending machine mounts on the wall.

It is a 3-wide cabinet with the same 10-inch touchscreen experience as the larger models: customers browse, add several items to a cart and pay by scanning a QR code. Choose it when floor width is the limit but you still want a screen, chilled stock or more selections than a wall-mount unit holds.

Who the KF6X10 is for

• Narrow corridors, break rooms and offices. At 616 mm it is just over half the width of the 5-wide BG10X10 (1,110 mm).
• Cold drinks or chilled food where width is short. It is the narrowest refrigerated touchscreen cabinet in the range, so it fits beside a reception desk or in an alcove. Compact wall-mount units are ambient.
• Sites where customers pay by phone. Payment is QR-based, which suits workplaces, campuses and venues where people already carry a wallet app or a code.

Fitting it through the building

The narrow body helps on the delivery route as well as at the final position. The KF6X10 is 735 mm deep, so it passes through an 815 mm (32-inch) clear door opening, the minimum in the 2010 ADA Standards, with about 80 mm to spare. The 820 mm deep BG10X10 and KF10X22 do not, unless the door is wider or the door leaf is removed. At 1,970 mm tall, check door heights and lift car heights along the route as well. Leave room in front of the machine for the user to stand and for the door to open during restocking.

The published configuration takes QR code-based payment only. The touchscreen shows a QR code for the order, or the scanner in the frame reads a code from the customer’s phone. • You need cash or a card terminal. The KF6X10 is QR only. The BG10X10 takes QR, MDB cashless and MDB cash, and the KF10X22 takes an MDB card reader, note reader and coin mech.
• You need more than 36 selections. A 5-wide, 6-tray machine holds up to 60.
• There is no floor space at all. A compact wall-mount vending machine mounts on brick or drywall, typically 200–350 mm deep, but it is ambient.

Who the L180-10C is for

• Industrial sites. Secure, audited storage of PPE, tools and instruments as part of our industrial vending solutions, alongside PPE vending machines for dispense-and-return of hard hats, harnesses and gas detectors, or on its own for high-value tools.
• Prepaid and pre-ordered goods. Bakery products, boxed meals and click-and-collect orders, one per door, loaded by staff and collected by the customer.

Where it is deployed

A premium Sydney bakery runs what it calls Sydney’s first Bread Wall on one K180-6C touchscreen kiosk and two L180-10C cabinets, 26 illuminated compartments in total: six in the kiosk and ten in each locker. Customers select and pay at the touchscreen and collect from the door that opens, while staff refill the compartments from the bakery side. Configuration options

Compartments

The number and sizes of the compartments can be changed to fit what you store. Measure your largest item first, including its depth: the standard cabinet is 400 mm deep overall, so a box for a 16-inch pizza (at least 406 mm across) will not lie flat in it. Custom cabinets run from 100 to 2,000 mm wide, 100 to 2,000 mm high and 100 to 1,000 mm deep, with 1–10 rows of 1–10 cells. The locker configurator gives an instant estimate for a custom cabinet.

Access control

KioskForce lockers support PIN, RFID cards (MIFARE, HID and EM), dual PIN and card, QR and one-time codes, and API-triggered opening. Every access is logged in the cloud and doors can be opened remotely. Biometric login is available as an option at extra cost, quoted per project.

Weight sensors

Weight sensors can be configured per cell according to the value of the stored items. They are optional and fitted at the factory, so specify them at order; they cannot be retrofitted in the field. Weight confirms what is in a cell, not who took it, so the record is per cell. See weight sensor tracking.

Connectivity

Ethernet is standard, with optional Wi-Fi and 4G/5G. Where site Wi-Fi does not reach the position reliably, as is common outdoors, 4G is the usual choice; a 4G telemetry data plan typically costs USD 5–10 per month per machine.

Temperature

The standard cabinet is ambient. Chilled locker cells can be supplied to order as a custom build, quoted per project. For many units of the same chilled item, a refrigerated vending machine such as the KF10X22 or BG10X10 is the usual choice.

• Many units of the same small item. A coil vending machine holds several units behind one motor, while a locker needs a door, a lock and a sensor for every item. For packaged snacks, drinks or consumables, a vending machine costs far less per unit stored.

Will the BG10X10 fit through a standard door?

Check first. The BG10X10 is 820 mm deep, and a machine goes through a doorway on its depth, so it will not pass an 815 mm (32-inch) clear opening without a wider door or removing the door leaf. The 735 mm deep KF6X10 will.
