10-cell Locker

The L180-10C is KioskForce’s standard 10-cell smart locker cabinet: 750 mm wide, 400 mm deep and 1,830 mm high, with a door-open sensor on every cell, energy-efficient LED lighting and industrial-grade levelling castor wheels. The number and size of the compartments can be customised, and weight sensors can be added to cells according to the value of what they hold. It connects by Ethernet as standard, with Wi-Fi and 4G/5G as options, and has emergency access through the back panel. It is ambient as standard. Paired with a touchscreen kiosk it sells, issues or hands over one item or order per door; a Sydney bakery runs two of them with a K180-6C kiosk as a 26-compartment bread wall.

KioskForce L180-10C ten-cell smart locker cabinet with glazed doors on levelling castors
The L180-10C: ten cells in two columns, each with its own door and door-open sensor.

The L180-10C is a standardized model of KioskForce lockers. It gives each item or order its own locked door, so it handles goods that a vending coil cannot: bulky, fragile, high-value or returnable items, and prepared orders waiting for collection. It is a cabinet without its own screen: doors open on a command from a paired kiosk, an access credential or the cloud.

Who the L180-10C is for

  • Industrial sites. Secure, audited storage of PPE, tools and instruments as part of our industrial vending solutions, alongside PPE vending machines for dispense-and-return of hard hats, harnesses and gas detectors, or on its own for high-value tools.
  • Prepaid and pre-ordered goods. Bakery products, boxed meals and click-and-collect orders, one per door, loaded by staff and collected by the customer.
  • High-value retail items. Boxed and high-value items such as electronics, sold one per door from a kiosk screen.

Where it is deployed

A premium Sydney bakery runs what it calls Sydney’s first Bread Wall on one K180-6C touchscreen kiosk and two L180-10C cabinets, 26 illuminated compartments in total: six in the kiosk and ten in each locker. Customers select and pay at the touchscreen and collect from the door that opens, while staff refill the compartments from the bakery side. The system was supplied through our authorised Sydney distributor. Read the Bread Wall case study.

Configuration options

Compartments

The number and sizes of the compartments can be changed to fit what you store. Measure your largest item first, including its depth: the standard cabinet is 400 mm deep overall, so a box for a 16-inch pizza (at least 406 mm across) will not lie flat in it. Custom cabinets run from 100 to 2,000 mm wide, 100 to 2,000 mm high and 100 to 1,000 mm deep, with 1–10 rows of 1–10 cells. The locker configurator gives an instant estimate for a custom cabinet.

Access control

KioskForce lockers support PIN, RFID cards (MIFARE, HID and EM), dual PIN and card, QR and one-time codes, and API-triggered opening. Every access is logged in the cloud and doors can be opened remotely. Biometric login is available as an option at extra cost, quoted per project.

Weight sensors

Weight sensors can be configured per cell according to the value of the stored items. They are optional and fitted at the factory, so specify them at order; they cannot be retrofitted in the field. Weight confirms what is in a cell, not who took it, so the record is per cell. See weight sensor tracking.

Connectivity

Ethernet is standard, with optional Wi-Fi and 4G/5G. Where site Wi-Fi does not reach the position reliably, as is common outdoors, 4G is the usual choice; a 4G telemetry data plan typically costs USD 5–10 per month per machine.

Temperature

The standard cabinet is ambient. Chilled locker cells can be supplied to order as a custom build, quoted per project. For many units of the same chilled item, a refrigerated vending machine such as the KF10X22 or BG10X10 is the usual choice.

When the L180-10C is the wrong choice

  • Many units of the same small item. A coil vending machine holds several units behind one motor, while a locker needs a door, a lock and a sensor for every item. For packaged snacks, drinks or consumables, a vending machine costs far less per unit stored.
  • You need a screen on the cabinet. Pair it with a kiosk such as the K180-6C.
  • Large or deep items in the standard cabinet. Specify deeper or larger cells instead.
  • Refrigerated stock in the standard cabinet. Specify chilled cells to order.

Price, lead time and ordering

  • Price: no published starting price for the L180-10C; locker cabinets are quoted per project. The locker configurator gives an instant estimate for a custom cabinet, and the K180-6C locker kiosk starts from USD 1,800, before freight, duties and installation. See vending machine cost.
  • Minimum order: modified standard models can be ordered as a single unit. Fully custom designs with a new enclosure or custom software typically start at 10 units.
  • Lead time: 4–6 weeks for a modified standard build, 8–12 weeks for a full custom design, plus shipping.
  • Warranty and support: 12-month standard warranty covering manufacturing defects. Support is by email, or through the local distributor where one supplied the system; that distributor also handles warranty and service. On-site installation is optional and, in some regions, provided through a local distributor.
