How much does a vending machine cost?

A KioskForce vending machine costs from about USD 800 to USD 2,100 per unit at published starting prices, before freight, duties and installation. Smart locker systems for equipment hire start at about US$8,000 including hardware and setup. Where your machine lands depends on what it dispenses, how users identify themselves and pay, and whether it needs refrigeration, locker cells or a custom enclosure.

KioskForce designs its machines, kiosks and smart lockers in-house and builds them to order in partner factories in China. We sell direct and, in some regions, through local distributors. There is no fixed catalog, so the published figures below are starting points for standard platforms, not list prices for a finished machine. Your quotation is built from your specification.

  • Kiosk vending machine price: from USD 1,200 (BG10X10) to USD 2,100 (KF10X22) for touchscreen models, and from USD 1,800 for the K180-6C locker kiosk. See kiosk vending machines.

What moves the price

  • Size and dispensing mechanism. More coils, trays and locker cells mean a bigger cabinet and more mechanisms. Mixed coil, tray and locker layouts cost more than a single type.
  • Refrigeration. The BG10X10 and KF10X22 come in ambient or refrigerated versions; refrigerated costs more.
  • Screen size. A 10-inch sidecar screen, a 21.5-inch kiosk screen and a 22-inch full-size screen are different price points.
  • Payment and access hardware. Card readers, QR scanners and RFID badge readers. See payments.
  • Optional per-cell weight sensing. Specified per cell at order; it cannot be retrofitted later.
  • Custom enclosure, colour and branding. A modified standard model costs less than a new enclosure designed from scratch.
  • Software integration. Connecting to ServiceNow, an ERP or your own API is scoped as a project.
  • Quantity. Fully custom designs typically start at 10 units; modified standard models can be ordered singly.

Buy, use a vendor-managed program, or lease?

Model What you pay Who supplies the stock Best fit
Buy the machine (KioskForce’s model) Machine price up front; no per-dispense fees You, from any supplier Sites that want to choose their own stock and keep the data
Vendor-managed (VMI) program Little or nothing up front; monthly and per-dispense fees The program’s distributor, usually with a markup Smaller sites, or buyers who want someone else to restock
Lease-to-own (equipment-hire locker systems) Lower upfront cost, monthly payments, ownership transfers after the term You Venues that want to prove rental income first

Which costs less depends on scale. The VMI vs capital purchase cost model works through a small site and a large one. If you are weighing a distributor program, see Fastenal vending vs owning your own machines and industrial vending suppliers compared.

Landed cost: what sits on top of the machine price

The price on a quotation is not what the machine costs you standing on your floor. On top of the machine sit:

  • Freight and insurance. We quote EXW, FOB or CIF; the Incoterm decides which of these are in our price.
  • Import clearance, duty and import taxes. These depend on your country and the tariff classification. We don’t quote duty rates; a licensed customs broker in your country can estimate them from the HS code, crated dimensions and values we provide.
  • Delivery to site, unloading and positioning. A crated machine is heavy; plan how it comes off the truck.
  • Installation. Optional. In some regions it is provided through a local distributor, and otherwise by your own team or contractor, with remote guidance from us.
  • Spare parts. Order common wear items with the machine so they ship and clear together.

The full breakdown by Incoterm is in shipping, Incoterms and landed cost.

Running costs

  • Connectivity: a 4G telemetry data plan typically costs USD 5–10 per month per machine.
  • Payments: card payments carry your payment processor’s fees.
  • Cloud dashboard: the Vending on Track dashboard, built by our software partner, is included rather than sold as a separate subscription tier. Buyer-owned industrial machines carry no per-dispense fees.
  • Equipment-hire lockers: a software fee of about USD 0.70 per rental transaction.
  • Stock: what you put in the machine, bought from whichever supplier you choose.
  • Warranty and support: 12-month standard warranty covering manufacturing defects. Support is by email, or through the local distributor where one supplied the machine. See spare parts.
