The BG10X10 is a standard-size 5-wide vending machine with a 10-inch touchscreen built into a sidecar. It is meant for positions that need a normal 5-wide machine but have no room for the extra width of a large screen. Customers browse on the touchscreen, add items to a cart and pay by QR code, card or cash. It has the lowest published starting price of our floor-standing touchscreen models, and it is robust and built to last.

Who the BG10X10 is for
- Snack, drink and chilled-food vending on a budget. Snacks, chilled drinks and packaged chilled food, ambient or refrigerated, with a touchscreen and cart from USD 1,200.
- A standard vending bay. It fits where a normal 5-wide machine would go and adds a screen without adding the 200 mm of width the KF10X22 needs for its 22-inch screen.
- Mixed payment sites. Card, cash and QR in one machine suits public sites where some customers still pay with coins and notes.
- A wider product range with on-screen help. Over-the-counter, first-aid and similar ranges, where a screen helps the user choose, are a common fit.
Configuration options
Payment
The BG10X10 takes three kinds of payment:
- QR code. The screen generates a QR code for the order and the customer pays with a wallet app, for example WeChat Pay or Alipay. No extra reader is needed.
- MDB cashless. A card terminal over the standard MDB cashless interface, such as Nayax, Cantaloupe or VendCoin from our Australian software partner Vending on Track. You can keep an existing processor.
- MDB cash. Coin mech and note reader.
Item-level reporting comes from the machine’s own telemetry, not from the payment terminal, so the sales record shows which product was sold even on a card sale. See payment methods.
Screen features
- Shopping cart. Customers buy several items in one transaction. See shopping cart.
- Code entry. The default homepage can be set to the product selection page or to a code input page, for free-vend or code-release programs.
Refrigeration
Choose ambient, or refrigerated with R290 or R134a refrigerant; refrigerated costs more. On machines with a sidecar, the temperature controller is in the side drawer (the FAQ shows how to set it). Refrigerated KioskForce machines have a health-control block that stops sales when the cabinet goes out of temperature range, set to your food-safety rules. For fresh or chilled food, see the guide to refrigerated vending machines for fresh and healthy food.
Coils and layout
The coil type and pitch are chosen per selection so that each product drops reliably. See coil options and the planogram configurator.
Fitting it into the building
At 820 mm deep, the BG10X10 will not pass an 815 mm (32-inch) clear door opening, the minimum in the 2010 ADA Standards, without a wider door or removing the door leaf. It is 1,975 mm tall. Measure every door, lift and corner on the route before you order, and plan for the weight of the machine plus stock on the floor.
When the BG10X10 is the wrong choice
- The position is narrow. The KF6X10 is 616 mm wide and 735 mm deep.
- You want a large screen for advertising or nutrition panels. The KF10X22 has a 22-inch touchscreen.
- You need room for badge readers, extra sensors or custom dispensing. The KF10X22 has extended space behind its screen for that hardware.
- Items are bulky, fragile, high-value or come back. A locker cell suits them better than a coil. See the L180-10C locker.
- There is no floor space. A compact wall-mount vending machine costs USD 800–1,500 and mounts on the wall.
Price, lead time and ordering
- Price: from USD 1,200 per unit at the published indicative price, before freight, duties and installation. Refrigeration, payment hardware, branding and quantity move the price. See vending machine cost.
- Minimum order: modified standard models (colour, branding, payment configuration) can be ordered as a single unit. Fully custom designs with a new enclosure or custom software typically start at 10 units.
- Lead time: 4–6 weeks to build a modified standard model, 8–12 weeks for a full custom design, plus shipping.
- Power and certification: built to the electrical supply of the destination market. Tell us the market at quotation and we confirm which certification marks and test reports come with the build.
- Warranty and support: 12-month standard warranty covering manufacturing defects. Support is by email, or through the local distributor where one supplied the machine; that distributor also handles warranty and service. On-site installation is optional and, in some regions, provided through a local distributor.
Frequently asked questions
What is the BG10X10 sidecar touchscreen?
The BG10X10 is a 5-wide vending machine with an integrated 10-inch touchscreen sidecar. It adds a touchscreen for browsing, a shopping cart and QR code or cashless payment to a standard-size machine, for positions that need a normal 5-wide machine but have no room for extra screen width.
What payment methods does the BG10X10 support?
QR code-based payments, MDB cashless (credit card reader) and MDB cash (coin mechanism and note reader).
Is the BG10X10 available refrigerated?
Yes, in refrigerated (R290 or R134a) or ambient configurations, with 5-wide, 6-wide, 3-wide or 4-wide layouts and 5 or 6 trays.
How much does the BG10X10 cost?
The BG10X10 has a published indicative starting price of USD 1,200 per unit, before freight, duties and installation. Refrigeration, payment hardware, branding and quantity move the price.
How many selections does the BG10X10 hold?
The standard 5-wide layout carries 10 selections per row, so up to 60 selections with six trays. Other published layouts carry 6, 8 or 12 selections per row, on 5 or 6 trays.
Will the BG10X10 fit through a standard door?
Check first. The BG10X10 is 820 mm deep, and a machine goes through a doorway on its depth, so it will not pass an 815 mm (32-inch) clear opening without a wider door or removing the door leaf. The 735 mm deep KF6X10 will.
