What is a PPE vending machine?
A PPE vending machine is an access-controlled dispenser that issues personal protective equipment to authorised workers and records every issue against the person who took it. A worker taps an employee card or enters a PIN, chooses from the items their role allows, and the machine dispenses them. The transaction is logged with the employee, item, time, machine and location. Replacing an open PPE cabinet or a staffed store with a PPE vending machine gives a site 24/7 access, per-worker limits and an issue record it can show an auditor.
Personal protective equipment vending machines are also called PPE vending machines, safety vending machines or safety equipment vending machines. What a PPE vending machine dispenses

How a PPE vending machine works
- Authenticate. The worker enters an access code or taps an employee card.
- Select. The 21.5-inch touchscreen shows only the items that worker is allowed to collect, within any per-shift limits.
- Dispense. Consumables drop from a coil or tray into the delivery bin. Trackable equipment is released from a locker cell.
- Return. Trackable items such as hard hats and harnesses go back into the assigned cell through the screen, and the return is recorded.
- Record. Each transaction appears on the dashboard with employee name, key card number, time, product, machine, location and job ID, ready for inventory and compliance reporting.

Hybrid Mode: Dispense & Return in a Single Machine

Industrial Equipment and Managed Dispensing System
The VoT-supported PPE Vending System is a state-of-the-art solution to both dispense disposable items and track the status of returnable items.
For employees, they are able to access the required products by entering the access code on the vending machine or tapping their employee card. Real-time inventory level and retrieval records are accessible through the dashboard, including employee name, key card number, transaction time, product, machine name, location, and job ID. After using a trackable item, employees must return it to the assigned cell by operating on the vending machine screen. The returning information will also be recorded in detail in the system.
