Charging Ports

KioskForce kiosks and lockers support optional charging port configurations — AC charging socket boards for standard power supply to laptops, tablets, and tool batteries, and USB-C ports with usage tracking that records every charging session, including user identity, start time, duration, and energy consumption, all accessible through the VoT dashboard. Both options can be factory-integrated into any kiosk or locker order. The USB-C usage tracking feature lets operators monitor device charging patterns, enforce fair-usage policies, and generate compliance reports.

Integrated Charging for Kiosks and Lockers

KioskForce kiosks and lockers can be factory-configured with built-in charging ports, giving users a convenient way to charge their devices while accessing the kiosk or locker system. Whether deployed on a warehouse floor, in a manufacturing facility, or at a public access point, integrated charging adds practical value for employees and visitors.

Charging Port Options

AC Charging Socket Board

The AC charging socket board provides standard AC power outlets integrated directly into the kiosk or locker cabinet. It is designed for charging mains-powered devices:

  • Laptops and notebooks
  • Tablets
  • Power tool batteries
  • Radios, scanners, and other workplace equipment

Each AC outlet delivers standard mains voltage through a factory-wired, safety-certified assembly. The socket board is mounted internally with only the outlet face accessible to users, keeping wiring protected from tampering and environmental exposure.

USB-C Ports with Usage Tracking

The USB-C charging option adds modern USB-C Power Delivery ports with built-in usage tracking via the VoT telemetry platform. Every charging session is logged:

Tracked Data Description
User identity Who initiated the charge — linked to their access card or PIN
Session start / end Precise timestamps for each charging connection
Duration How long the device was connected
Energy consumption Power drawn during the session

Operators access this data through the VoT dashboard, where they can:

  • Monitor charging patterns across all deployed units
  • Set usage limits per user or per day to enforce fair-usage policies
  • Generate reports for energy cost allocation or compliance audits

This turns a simple charging port into a managed resource — particularly valuable in shared workplace environments where charging access needs to be tracked and controlled.

Configurable at Order Time

Charging ports are not an aftermarket retrofit — they are factory-integrated during manufacturing. When placing an order for a kiosk or locker, customers specify:

  • Which charging type they need (AC socket board, USB-C, or both)
  • How many ports per unit
  • Port placement on the cabinet

KioskForce configures the wiring, mounting, and any necessary control board integration before the unit ships, so the charging ports are ready to use on arrival.

Where Charging Ports Add Value

Integrated charging ports are particularly useful in environments where employees or visitors spend extended time at or near the kiosk:

  • Warehouse break areas — workers charge personal devices or scanners while collecting PPE
  • Manufacturing floor stations — tool battery charging at the point of use
  • Public service kiosks — visitors charge phones while using self-service terminals
  • Education and training facilities — students charge laptops during equipment checkout
